Strain off the liquid through a sieve into another fermenting bin containing the sugar. Most of this I diluted with water to 40% ( BTW things are vastly improved if you use a decent mineral water for dilution rather than tap water ), some of it I diluted to 40% using strained blackberry juice. Additionally, if you are running large batches, the fermenting yeast give off heat as well. The method consisted of boiling the wort in a vessel, and then tightly closing the vessel containing the boiling fluid to avoid exposure to air.
